Hulu ends ‘Deli Boys’ after two seasons
Hulu has canceled Deli Boys after two seasons, according to Variety and Deadline.
The Onyx Collective comedy followed Mir and Raj Dar, Pakistani American brothers who discover their late father had built a criminal empire. Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh and Poorna Jagannathan led the cast. Fred Armisen joined the show in its second season, alongside additions including Andrew Rannells, Kumail Nanjiani, Lilly Singh, Robin Thede and Tan France.
Variety reported that the series will end with its second-season cliffhanger unresolved. Deadline reported that the program was an uncommon U.S. television project with South Asian characters at its center, with creator Abdullah Saeed and the three main actors all of South Asian descent.
The show was produced by 20th Television under Onyx Collective. Hulu and Onyx Collective had not issued a public statement on the cancellation at the time of the trade reports.
