Glastonbury rules out Madonna for 2027 headline slot

Glastonbury has its three headliners booked for 2027, but Madonna will not be one of them, according to festival organizer Emily Eavis.
Eavis addressed the speculation during an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s PM programme on Friday. She said the festival was well along with its plans for next summer, while ruling out the pop star after reports linked Madonna to a possible Glastonbury debut.
The rumor gained traction after Madonna told Graham Norton in June that she was planning something big in the UK next summer. She did not name a venue. The BBC reported that a run of London Hyde Park dates has also been suggested, though no such shows have been confirmed.
Glastonbury is taking a fallow year in 2026 and is due back in June 2027. The BBC reported that tickets are expected to go on sale in November. For now, the festival has given fans one firm answer and kept the rest of the bill under wraps.
